Structural features
Trapezoidal thread design: The four-sided flange trapezoidal nut has trapezoidal threads on the inside. Trapezoidal threads have good self-locking properties and are less likely to loosen when subjected to axial force than ordinary triangular threads. This is because the profile angle of the trapezoidal thread is 30°, and the friction between the threads is large, which can effectively prevent the nut from rotating when it vibrates or is acted upon by external forces, ensuring the stability of the connection. For example, in some mechanical equipment that needs to be fastened for a long time, such as the cooperation between the screw rod and nut of a machine tool, the trapezoidal thread nut can take advantage of this self-locking advantage.
Square flange structure: The outside of the nut is a square flange. This square shape makes it easier to operate from four directions with tools such as wrenches. Compared with traditional hexagonal nuts, it is more flexible in some operating environments with narrow spaces. The flange part increases the contact area between the nut and the connecting surface, allowing the nut to better disperse pressure when tightening and reduce the pressure on the surface of the connecting component. For example, when a nut is tightened against a softer material surface, a square flange prevents the nut from sinking into the material while also providing a more stable connection.
Material properties
Diversity of material selection: Four-way flange trapezoidal nuts can be made of a variety of materials, the common ones are carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless steel. Nuts made of carbon steel have lower cost and higher strength, and are suitable for general mechanical connection situations.
