Hot-melt nuts made of stainless steel are also relatively common. Stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance and is suitable for use in environments that require high corrosion resistance, such as outdoor equipment or plastic products that come into contact with chemicals.
Surface treatment (optional)
In order to further improve the performance of hot melt nuts, some nuts are surface treated. For example, after nickel plating, the appearance of the hot melt nut is more beautiful. At the same time, the nickel layer can play a certain protective role to prevent the nut from rusting and improve its wear resistance.
3. Structural characteristics

The internal thread is a key part of the hot melt nut, and its specifications and accuracy comply with the corresponding standards (such as metric thread standards). The quality of the thread directly affects the matching accuracy with the bolt and the reliability of the connection. The threaded surface of high-quality hot-melt nuts is smooth and the pitch is uniform, which can effectively avoid problems such as slippage during tightening of bolts.

Good firmness
Once the hot-melt installation is complete, the hot-melt nut is integrated with the plastic part. When subjected to external forces such as tension, pressure and torque, it can well distribute the force to the surrounding plastic materials and provide a stable connection. Compared with traditional mechanically installed nuts (such as simply drilling holes in the plastic and installing the nuts), hot-melt nuts are less likely to loosen or fall off. For example, in the assembly of automobile interior plastic parts, the use of hot-melt nuts can ensure that the connection of the interior parts remains firm even if the vehicle vibrates during long-term driving.
Good sealing performance
Since the hot-melt nut is tightly combined with the plastic part, it can effectively prevent the leakage of liquid or gas in some application scenarios that require sealing. For example, in the connection between the lid of some plastic containers and the container body, if hot melt nuts are used to fix the connecting parts, the sealing performance of the container can be improved to a certain extent.
Beautiful appearance
After the hot-melt nut is installed, there is usually only a small installation hole left on the surface of the plastic part or almost no installation traces are visible. This is not suitable for some plastic products with high appearance requirements (such as electronic product casings, high-end toys, etc.) is very important. It does not affect the overall aesthetics of the product like an external nut does.
