Material properties
Brass material: Brass is an alloy composed of copper and zinc. Its main component, copper, has good electrical and thermal conductivity. In the application of nuts, this feature helps to conduct heat better in some connection parts that require heat dissipation. At the same time, the chemical properties of copper are relatively stable and not easy to rust in normal environments. The addition of zinc increases the strength and hardness of brass, making it more suitable than pure copper for making mechanical parts such as nuts.
Corrosion Resistance: Brass flange nuts have excellent corrosion resistance. It resists oxidation and chemical corrosion in many industrial environments and outdoor installations. For example, in air containing a certain amount of humidity or in a slightly acidic environment, a dense oxide film will form on the surface of brass, which can prevent further corrosion. This characteristic makes brass flange nuts widely used in some fields such as pipeline systems and marine equipment that require high corrosion resistance (such as some non-critical parts of ships that require corrosion resistance).
Structural features
Flange structure: The flange is the key structural part of the brass flange nut. The flange portion is usually larger in diameter than the body portion of the nut and is flattened around one end of the nut body. The main function of this flange is to increase the contact area between the nut and the connected parts. Manufacturing process

Machining process: Whether casting or forging process is used, brass flange nuts need to be machined to perfect their structure. Mechanical processing includes turning and smoothing the flange part to make the flange surface smooth and accurate in size; tapping or rolling the threaded part to ensure the accuracy of the thread. During the machining process, appropriate tools and cutting parameters need to be used to ensure the quality of brass nuts.
Piping systems: Brass flange nuts are widely used in piping systems. In plumbing pipes, it can be used to connect various water pipes (such as copper pipes, stainless steel pipes, plastic pipes).
