Structural composition:
Sphere: This is the core component of metal sphere valve accessories, usually made of stainless steel, copper, alloy and other metal materials. The sphere has good sealing and corrosion resistance and can withstand high pressure and temperature. There are usually one or more channels on the sphere to control the passage or interception of fluid. For example, in a ball valve, the rotation of the ball can align or stagger the channel with the inlet and outlet of the valve, thereby opening and closing the valve.
Valve seat: The valve seat matches the outer surface of the ball and plays a sealing role. The material of the valve seat usually matches the ball to ensure good sealing performance. The valve seat is precision machined to fit tightly into the ball to prevent fluid leakage.
Valve stem: The valve stem is used to connect the ball and external operating mechanisms, such as handles, worm gears, etc. By rotating the valve stem, the ball can be driven to rotate and the valve can be opened and closed. The valve stem needs to have sufficient strength and stiffness to withstand the torque and tension during operation.
Sealing system: The sealing system includes sealing rings, packing and other components to prevent fluid from leaking from the valve connections. The sealing ring is usually installed between the valve seat and the ball, and between the valve stem and the valve body to play an auxiliary sealing role. The packing is filled in the gap between the valve stem and the valve body, and the sealing is achieved by compressing the packing.
Working principle: The working principle of metal ball valve accessories is mainly based on the rotational motion of the ball to control the on and off of the fluid. When the ball rotates until the channel is aligned with the inlet and outlet of the valve, the valve is in an open state and the fluid can pass freely; when the ball rotates until the channel is misaligned with the inlet and outlet of the valve, the valve is in a closed state and the fluid is cut off. This working method has the advantages of flexible operation, good sealing, and small flow resistance, and is suitable for the control of various fluid media.
Material features:
Stainless steel sphere: It has good corrosion resistance, high strength and good thermal stability, and is suitable for chemical, petroleum, pharmaceutical and other industries. 304 and 316 stainless steel are common stainless steel sphere materials. 304 stainless steel is suitable for general corrosive media, and 316 stainless steel shows better corrosion resistance in corrosive environments containing chloride ions.
Copper sphere: Copper and its alloys have good wear resistance and self-lubricating properties and are often used in valves for water, steam and other media. Copper has good thermal conductivity and is suitable for situations where rapid heat dissipation or large temperature differences are required, but its corrosion resistance to certain chemicals is relatively weak.
Alloy sphere: Alloy materials such as duplex stainless steel, nickel-based alloys, titanium alloys, etc., have excellent high temperature resistance, high pressure resistance and corrosion resistance, and are widely used in valves in harsh working conditions such as deep sea oil exploration, nuclear power, chemical industry, etc.
Oil and natural gas pipelines: It can quickly open and close the fluid in the pipeline, control the flow and pressure of oil, natural gas and other media, and ensure the safe operation of the pipeline system.
Chemical process: used to control the flow and direction of various fluids in the chemical process to achieve automation and precise control of chemical production.
Water supply and drainage system: It can control the water flow and pressure to ensure the normal operation of the water supply and drainage system, and can effectively prevent water leakage and backflow.
Pharmaceutical and food processing: Used to control the flow of media and the emission of pollutants to ensure product quality and safety and comply with the hygienic standards and requirements of the pharmaceutical and food industries.
