Working principle
When the driving shaft rotates, the torque is transmitted to the driven shaft through the connecting bolt between the half couplings, causing the two shafts to rotate synchronously. Since a rigid coupling has no elastic elements and is a rigid connection, the angular velocities of the two shafts during rotation are exactly the same. This requires that the two connected shafts have good alignment, otherwise additional stress will be generated due to misalignment of the shafts, resulting in damage to the coupling, shaft or other transmission components.
Performance characteristics
High transmission efficiency: The torque transmission efficiency of the stainless steel rigid coupling is very high because it is a direct rigid connection with almost no energy loss in elastic deformation or relative sliding. In some mechanical systems that require high power transmission efficiency, such as the spindle transmission system of precision machine tools, it can meet the requirements well.
