  • Function and Role:
    A thread cutting tool is mainly used for machining threads on a workpiece. It forms spiral grooves, i.e. threads, on the surface of cylindrical or conical workpieces by means of cutting.
    It can precisely control the size, pitch, tooth angle and other parameters of the thread to ensure that the quality and accuracy of the thread meet the requirements.

    Types and features:
    Tap: Used to machine internal threads in holes, usually made of high-speed steel or carbide. Taps are available in different specifications and tooth types, which can be selected according to the workpiece material and thread requirements.
    Plate teeth: Used to process external threads on the external surface of cylindrical workpieces, also with a variety of specifications and tooth types to choose from. Plate threads are usually mounted on a plate thread holder.
    Thread milling cutter: Using a rotating milling cutter to mill threads on the workpiece, it is suitable for processing threads of various materials, especially those with high hardness. Thread milling cutter has the advantages of high machining efficiency and good precision.
