304 stainless steel male wire joint is a pipe fitting used for pipe connection. It is mainly made of 304 stainless steel material with external threads on one or both ends. The externally threaded part is used to connect with other pipe fittings with internal threads (such as nuts, internal thread joints, etc.) to realize the assembly of the pipeline system. The shape of this kind of joint is usually cylindrical, and there are many shapes such as straight-through type, elbow type, tee type, etc. to meet different pipeline layout needs.
Material Properties - 304 Stainless Steel
Corrosion Resistance: 304 stainless steel contains approximately 18% chromium (Cr) and 8% - 10.5% nickel (Ni). Chromium element can form a dense chromium oxide protective film on the surface of stainless steel, making it have good corrosion resistance in general environments (such as atmosphere, fresh water, food processing environment, etc.). For example, in pipeline systems in the food and beverage industry, 304 stainless steel outer wire joints can resist corrosion from juice, milk and other media, ensuring the safety and stability of pipeline connections.
Mechanical properties: 304 stainless steel has moderate strength and good toughness. Its tensile strength is usually between 515 - 760MPa, and its yield strength is between 205 - 310MPa. This allows the outer wire joint to withstand a certain amount of pipeline pressure without being easily deformed or damaged. At the same time, its elongation is high and it has good plasticity during processing, making it convenient to manufacture joints of various shapes.

During the tightening process, the friction and interaction between threads ensure the firmness of the connection. Compared with some simple socket or snap-on connections, the threaded connection of the external thread joint can withstand higher pressure and tension, and is suitable for medium and high pressure pipeline systems.
Versatility and interchangeability: Since the thread specifications of the external wire connector are standardized, it can be easily interchanged and combined with other pipe fittings that meet the same standards. For example, common imperial or metric threaded male fittings can be found around the world, which greatly facilitates the design, installation and maintenance of pipeline systems.
Food and Beverage Industry: As mentioned earlier, the corrosion resistance of 304 stainless steel outer wire joints makes it widely used in pipeline transportation systems in the food and beverage industry. Whether it is transporting beverages, edible oil or dairy products, it can ensure that the pipeline connection part will not contaminate the food and can work stably for a long time.
